SeriousFun Children's Network NYC 2016 Spring Gala

On June 6th, SeriousFun Children’s Network hosted a star-studded gala at Cipriani in midtown New York City to celebrating the legacy that Paul Newman created – a family of camps and programs that bring joy, laughter and confidence to children living with serious illnesses all around the world.

The evening’s program featured appearances and performances from musician/philanthropist Jon Bon Jovi, actor Laura Linney, actor Kyle McLachlan, trumpeter Chris Botti, NBC News anchor Kate Snow, YouTube sensation Jamie Lou Stenzel, Donald Webber, Jr,  Amber Iman,  Sarah Stiles, and a group of very talented SeriousFun Campers. The View co-host, Joy Behar, served as the evening’s Auctioneer Extraordinaire.

The evening was a true celebration and featured a series of live performances, video presentations, and readings that illustrated just how special the camps are and the important impact they have on the campers and their families.

The evening raised more than $1.5 million for SeriousFun Children’s Network, providing support for its 30 camps and programs around the world. Since its inception, SeriousFun camps and programs have served more than 600,000 children and their family members from more than 50 countries -- always free of charge.

I am incredibly grateful to Dick Scanlan for inviting me to be a part of such a wonderful evening for an incredible organization. Donald Webber, Sarah Stiles, and I had the immense privilege of reading letters written by the parents of some of the Serious Fun campers. See pics below!
